Nicole Chantalat - About the artist

It is with sadness that we learnt of the recent death of Nicole.

She loved painting portraits of people not so well-known as much as those of celebrities.   Portraits were her passion.

She said, "A little piece of eternity is seen in a portrait.   The subjects are like pages being turned in a book that never finishes.   A painter is a witness of his time, constantly researching the difficult to understand, yet recording the results with clarity."
