About the artist - Odile Dupas-Séon

The ways of life have led me as far as Corrèze and more especially towards the area of Pompadour where I have lived for two years.

Nature and country life resound here in so intense a way that none of the travellers who cross these lands can remain insensitive to them.

I like life too much in its most primordial expressions to avoid these vibrations so advantageous for creativity.   Numerous births of horses, the Limousin "culs noirs" pigs, and the discovery of the magma veined with milky jade, mineralized and fused material, buried, forgotten, left on the sluggish banks of the riversides of Auvèzère and Vèzère.

Yet more resonance, allow it to stir within, close your eyes to see better.

The four elements: Earth, Fire, Air and Water help me in my efforts to express and to transmit the multitudes of feelings and visions which cross my mind too fleetingly; these concrete expressions reassure me of the reality of an ephemeral and so fragile life, they can also help the exorcism of a certain dark side, the existence of which cannot be denied.
