Dominique Monneraux - About the artist

I was born in the Limousin in 1950.   I have been producing drawings for the last dozen years.

I use principally red pastel and charcoal to produce my views of the villages and picturesque sites in my region, as well as my memories of my visits.   Each year I take part in the "Painters in the streets" in Périgord-Limousin.   These events provide me with the opportunity to develop my observation and quickly produce a drawing in a few hours.

I hope to soon take up palette and brushes again, and to continue to have the privilege of admiring the beautifully preserved environment of my Limousin.

Drawing wildlife is another of my activities that goes hand-in-hand with the countryside that surrounds me.
